#TGIBF

So despite my later (9am) start [which you can blame on my alarm!!] I took advantage of some deals and my last day home, to pick up some items I've had my eyes on. My friend and eye shopped from lower Manhattan to midtown, even running into a bunch of high school friends in the process! All in all, a long successful day.

Here are some of my favorite spoils from today:

Shop my purchases and tell me about what you got this black friday (while I rest my aching feet!)

Nippy NYC

Cardigan Urban Outfitters | Playsuit Motel Rocks | Shoes Converse | Jacket (not shown) Urban Outfitters

My first official day out since coming back home was today, and lets just say it was a cold one! I braved the weather in one of my favorite playsuits from motel rocks, my urban renewal cardigan and all white converse. Reunited with the lovely Katrina (!!!!!) and we went to see Catching Fire (which is amazing and I recommend to everyone), and then of course we made our mandatory trip to Sephora.

How have you guys been starting your weeks? Let me know below!

Weekly Tunes (9)

So these boys and this band aren't very new to my life. If I'm being completely honest, then I'd say they've consumed the last 2-3 years of my life hahaha. I've got nothing but old, genuine love for:

One Direction

So I told myself I wouldn't include the as the artist of this week, since their new album doesn't officially get released until Monday next week, however, if like me you've just spent most of your Saturday watching 1D Day, then you can understand why I'd be so excited to talk about One Direction. I've been a fan, following these boys since their x-factor tour, up until now, and I've loved every single moment of it (even the parts I hated). They're a musicians that definitely resonate with me, because they're so close to my age, and they've all got really grounded personalities, that I've experienced firsthand with the couple times I've gotten to meet them!

On their new album, they've worked with Ben Winston a lot, and I've loved all the videos he's produced, like Story of My Life below:

Midnight Memories has something for EVERYBODY!! And I'm not just saying that because I love the band. Unlike their first two albums this one takes some of their poppy tunes and sounds and mixers them with lots of rock melodies, that'll be sure to rock your mind. Some of my favorites hand down are Happily, Better Than Words, Diana, and of course Best Song Ever.

Crops, Contrast & Cut-Outs (Oh My!)

Hat Topshop | Cropped Jumper Zara | Bag Mulberry | Flats UrbanOG

Days of warm weather in Syracuse are few and far between, so my roommate and I thought we'd take advantage of the day, wearing jumpers, skirts, and tights ensembles! This outfit style definitely reflects more of how I used to dress, verses what my style has become in these last few months of 2013. Still, I always like to switch it up, and pair some of my old favorite pieces with my new ones. Autumn leaves and my Uni's own personal Hogwarts played the backdrop for part of the afternoon; gorgeous on the outside (but absolutely breathe-taking indoors)! Can the weather stay like this forever?

Whats your favorite fall-winter-transitional outfit? Let me know in the comments below!

A Season for Sweaters

With the holidays just around the corner, and the cold wintery days upon us, it's time for the best article of clothing to make it's way out the back of your wardrobes! It is indeed sweater weather (so go jam to The Neighborhood), and you can never truly have too many!

What's you favorite sweater? Have you got you eyes on any at the moment? Let me know below!

Weekly Tune (8)

So this week, I had the chance to enjoy a concert with some friends from school, and it was by far one of the best concerts I've ever been to, thanks to:

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Now I'm not exaggerating when I say that this concert falls into my top 10 concerts and I've been to a lot of concerts in my short life! The entire night was a party, from the confetti and streamers bursting everywhere to the silly story Macklemore told in reference to a lake near by school and his clothes being stolen, before leading into one of his hit singles 'Thrift shop'! The energy was insane and he even treated us to some free styling. When our Dome started calling curfew for the concert, we all boo'd and he treated us with an encore 'Can't Hold Us' which you can watch the music video for below!

I'm proper obsessed with that song. I'll drop anything anywhere at any time and just dance my life away when it comes on!

Sweater Weather

Open-Back Jumper Zara | Playsuit Topshop | Boots Topshop | Backpack Brandy Melville

I was a bit nervous, as I changed into this outfit, fearing that I'd freeze in the Syracuse weather, however the weather turned out being gorgeous (For 'Cuse at least)! Celebrated by wearing my favorite Topshop playsuit with some tights, and my open-back Zara jumper on top, then teamed the two with my Topshop adonis cut out boots. Here's for praying the weather stays this great for my roommates friend who's visiting for the weekend!

Brave in Navy

Sweatshirt Topshop | Leggings Victoria's Secret | Boots Kurt Geiger | Bag Mulberry | Jacket Urban Outfitters | Hat H&M

I know I've been off radars for nearly 2 weeks now! Super sorry, the weather has been horrid, and I haven't quite learned how to control that yet!! On-and-Off snow storms making it impossible to get out and take photos without fingers going numb, but I'm braving the weather in my Topshop boutique oversized sweatshirt, and VS leggings. No better way to stay warm than to get comfy!

Hows the weather been for you? Seen any snow yet?

Weekly Tunes (6 & 7)

So, with all the assignments I had last week, I may have forgotten to post my weekly tune selection (which is simply no excuse) so this week I'm posting 2 for you guys, as a quick, slick catch up, starting with

Little Mix

If you're in any way keeping up with the real world, then you've probably heard about this girl group releasing their new album titled "Salute" with singles that can crush the patriarchy in anything from your favorite pumps to your laced up boots. I've been following these lovely girls and career for some time now, and actually got the opportunity to be present for their first performances in America, ever.

[Move]

Those days are all memories I hold dear and happen to be major milestones in their careers as well! They may have been to America already, but America is not ready for their new CD, can't you feel the feminist movement taking over you life? It's no shocker that my favorite tunes from the album are 'Salute' and 'Move' (check out the video for move above)!

Keep posted on the new album and tour by following the girls:

What are you opinions on the girls? A fan? And how do you feel about the newest Album?

---------------------------------------------------------------

To make up for last week, I'll give you another artist that I jammed to, that I think you should check out too! Meet:

Childish Gambino

You may know him from Community the show, but Donald Glover is one heck of a rapper and I still can't get enough of his song 'Freaks & Geeks', which you can listen to and watch the video for below!

Check him out on:

Let me know what you think of him as well, it's different but I think it's still pretty great!

Orange Is The New Black

Sweater The Reformation | Scarf Made by my roommate | Leggings Urban Outfitters | Shoes (not shown) Converse | Bag Forever 21

So it's parents weekend in (not so) sunny syracuse, and what's a parents weekend without a game of football(!!!) Times like these are a call for me to break out any fluorescent orange article of clothing I own and wear it while looking as prideful as ever. It's quite endearing seeing all of the crowd chanting and cheering and looking a lot like thousands of highlighters, but we make pretty good looking highlighters, so I'll cheers to that! We won this game 13-0 (woo!) Orange Nation for life! #GoSyracuse

Are any of you big football fans? What's your favorite team? Let me know below!
